James D. Harding, PMP
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Harding was named Chief Operations Officer in 2006. In his role, Mr. Harding oversees the company’s day-to-day operations, key projects, and the firm’s budget. Functional areas included under Mr. Harding’s responsibility are information systems, internal operations, accounting, real estate, human resources, and office services. He is the Chair of Duff & Phelps’ Risk Management Committee and a member of the Brokerage Committee.
Mr. Harding was most recently the Director of Internal Operations, a role he took on soon after joining the firm in 2002. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mr. Harding held increasing roles of responsibility with Hewitt Associates.
Mr. Harding received a Masters of Arts Degree in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding University, Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Indiana University. Currently, Mr. Harding is pursuing a PhD. in Human and Organizational Systems. Mr. Harding is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
