Mr. Heaney has served as Chief Investment Officer of DTF Tax-Free Income Inc. since 2004, and previously as Portfolio Manager from 2002-2004. He also has been a Portfolio Manager for the Virtus CA Tax-Exempt Bond Fund since 1997. Mr. Heaney is a portfolio manager in Duff & Phelps fixed income group and heads the municipal bond group for Duff & Phelps’ affiliate, Virtus Investment Advisers, Inc.
Mr. Heaney holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a graduate of the University of Connecticut (B.A./M.B.A.) and has over 18 years of investment experience. Previous experience includes positions as a credit research analyst at Phoenix Home Life Insurance Company and Connecticut National Bank.
