DNP Select Income Fund Inc. (NYSE-listed ticker: DNP), our first fund product, is is a diversified, closed-end investment company that began operations in January 1987. The DNP fund has a primary investment objective that is focused on current income and long-term growth of income. Capital appreciation is a secondary objective. The DNP fund invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of equity and fixed income securities of companies within the global utilities industry.
Duff & Phelps Utility and Corporate Bond Trust Inc. (NYSE-listed ticker: DUC) is a diversified, closed-end investment company. The primary investment objective is high current income and the fund invests in fixed income securities of investment grade quality. The fund’s investment process is focused on Utility and Corporate fixed income securities.
DTF Tax-Free Income Inc. (NYSE-listed ticker: DTF) is a diversified, closed-end investment company. This fund’s investment objective is current income that is exempt from regular U.S. federal income tax. The fund invests in a diversified portfolio of investment-grade tax-exempt fixed income securities that are issued by states, counties and municipalities within the United States.
Dividends have historically been paid monthly to the shareholders of the above closed-end funds.
For over 10 years, we have also managed mutual fund products for investors. We manage the Virtus Real Estate Securities Fund*, the Virtus Global Infrastructure Fund*, the Virtus International Real Estate Securities Fund* and the Virtus Global Real Estate Securities Fund* All four of these mutual fund products are often characterized as alternative investments. Investors can benefit by reducing their investment risk through increased diversification by using such alternative asset classes in their investment portfolios.
